A higher percentage means that more of what you're eating is coming from protein - not carbs or fat. Calories from Protein can be easily calculated with the following steps:

1) Locate the total grams of protein in a product
2) Multiply that number by 4 (there are 4 calories in every gram of product)
3) Divide that number by the total number of calories
4) All done!

Using our Protein Chips as an example:
1) 20g Protein x 4 Calories = 80 Calories
2) 80 Calories from Protein / 160 Total Calories = 50% Calories from Protein
